For businesses all over the globe, profitability and growth can no longer be the sole motivation of a business plan. In the past decade, a new idea has grown out of the philanthropic area which places value in the social and environmental capital of businesses. This concept is known as Corporate Social Responsibility.
Corporate Social Responsibility can be defined as a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model. The goal of CSR is to embrace responsibility for the company's actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere.
The Academy is aware that in this age, Corporate Social Responsibility is a cornerstone of good business. For the past ten years, the Academy has been promoting CSR through various initiatives.
