The community foundation covers primarily the city of Kielce with a population of more than 220,000, and the Swietokrzyskie voivodeship. In total, the community foundation operates in the area with 2,415,000 residents.
Successes:
>> 91 grants for the total of $55,025;
>> 65 scholarships for the total of $33,300.
>> Launching the raising of a capital endowment, currently at $3,800;
In 2002, the CF executed seven grant and scholarship programs: "Don't spend your time on the street" in seven communes, "Szklarnia" [Greenhouse] in the entire voivodeship (with the support of the Stefan Batory Foundation), the "Zaczek" scholarship program (designed for secondary school students in Kielce), a scholarship program within the special fund with the advisory services provided by the donor, the scholarship program of the Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland, and the Bridging Scholarships Program. The oganization spent $34,307 on the implementation of those programs. In the future the CF plans to introduce a permanent scholarship program and a grant program.
