The Community Foundation covers the area of the city and county of Tomaszow Mazowiecki, population of 125,000.
Successes:
>> 33 grants worth $1,040;
>> 69 scholarships worth $21,725;
>> Launching the raising of a capital endowment, currently at approximately $2,800;
In addition:
>> Supporting a variety of sports events, like the Summer Vacation Soccer Tournament, Sports Days, or the National Integration Street Run (chiefly by providing awards and cups for the events);
>> Covering the cost of Christmas presents for children coming from the most impoverished backgrounds in Tomaszow Mazowiecki
In 2002 the CF operated a the scholarship program "THE MOST GIFTED YOUTH" and a grant program "WINNIE-THE-POOH FOR KIDS". In the future the CF plans to run three permanent grant programs. CF also collects money from students to support their poorer colleagues by scholarships. CF has been organizing since 2000 Benefactor of the Year competition. 10 awards were given to donors of NGO sector.
