4. accordion and guitar:

>> Bartosz Mrugacz (classic guitar, 15 years old, nominated by the Sokółka Community Foundation)
>> Justyna Nakraszewicz (classic guitar, 13 years old, nominated by the Racibórz Community Foundation),
>> Piotr Płuska (accordion, 18 years old, nominated by the Community Foundation from Tomaszów Mazowiecki)

Additionaly, the Selection Committee decided to grant a Music Safety-Pin special award to Maciek Kanik grantee of the Safety Pin Fund. Thanks to the special award maciek was allowed to take part in the Music Safety-Pin workshops and provided individual consultations.

New idea of the Music Safety Pin is blending the financial support (250 PLN per month) with on-week workshop course with comprehensive timetable.
Moreover, grantees take part in concerts and radio, tv programs within the program which gives them new experiences and promotes their achievements.
The selection formula is also unique. Academy`s partners - Community Foundations nominate candidates to take part in auditions in Warsaw. On the basis of recommendations from audition jury and quality of nomination letters the Selection Committee chooses app. 20 grantees.

A group of 5 to 7 who receive the best evaluation within workshop session receive individual grants for next year, including participation in a recording session. The CD entitled "Music Safety Pin 2002/2003. Selected works" is a result of the recording session of October 2002.

Thanks to the Music Safety Pin we enable young musicians to develop their talents.
